Membership: Kyuquot is amalgamated with Checlesaht members who reside in the Kyuquot territory. The combined membership for Ka:’yu:’k’t’h’/Chek’tles7et’h’ is 500 members. There are approximately 150 members living on-reserve with the majority of Ka:’yu:’k’t’h’/Chek’tles7et’h’ members living away from home. Most of which are spread throughout Vancouver Island (Campbell River, Nanaimo, Courtney and Victoria), Vancouver and Seattle.
Location: Kyuquot is on the North Western section of Vancouver Island south of the Brooks Peninsula and North or Nootka Island. The reserves are very remote and are only accessible by boat and plane.
